This event is normally run in April, but with the calendar giving us an extra June weekend in 2015 we have moved it to the first weekend in June. This event has sold in past years on its April date so we expect an even larger turn out for June -- weather will definitely be warmer.
This will be the tournament's 13th year and over the years this has become a regular event for local NE Ohio teams and clubs from surrounding states and Canada. We have outstanding facilities and the best umpires in Youth Baseball - Umpires are assigned and sanctioned through the Game Hogz Umpiring School.
Ages 8u - 13u will have a 3 game minimum with half the teams playing 4 or more games. We are playing most games at the beautiful and modern Victory Park Sports Park in North Ridgeville. The facility has 8 fields – all with lights – on site grounds crew and concessions. This facility is made for Tournament Baseball. We will also use Shady Baseball Complex in North Ridgeville and there will be games played in Akron at First Energy Baseball Complex and JEDD Park. In addition to the entry fee teams will pay umpires on the field ( 8u - $25 per team per game / 9u and 10u teams will pay $30 per game per team and 11u - 13u will pay $45 per game per team --- Teams will supply game balls – 1 new and 1 used to start each game. There will be Team and Indiviidual awards for 1st and 2nd place.
Ages 14u - 18u will also have a 3 game minimum with half the teams playing 4 or more games. We understand that many players are still in school so play will begin Friday at 4pm -- teams neeed to be prepared to play at this time. The highlight facilities are Kent State University, Mt Union University, Akron University, Thurman Munson Stadium, and several of top high school facilities in Akron and Canton area -- Jackson HS, Woodridge HS, St Thomas Aquinas HS and Barberton HS to name a few.
