The Battle in The ( 330 and 216 ) is our most heavily attended event of the Summer Season. In 2014 we had over 150 teams participate in this tournament played at Quality Baseball Complexes, Minor League Stadiums, College and High School Fields. This is the Tournament's 13th year and this year, as we did in 2014, due to the overwhelming attendance we are forced to expand north to the 216 area code @ Victory Park in North Ridgeville and Cleveland area HS fields. We have completely sold out each of the last 7 years with over 150 teams participating in 2014.
As with all Team Sports events the tournament will be well organized with timely communication, and have the top umpires in youth baseball sanctioned and assigned through the Game Hogz Umpiring School.
The 8u - 13u and 14u 54x80 age groups will have a 3 game minimum with half the teams playing 4 or more games. In addition to the entry fee teams will pay umpires on the field ( 8u - $25 per team per game ) ( 9u and 10u - $30 per game per team ) ( 11u - 13u and14u 54/80 - $45 per game per team ) Teams will also supply one new and one used baseball per game.
The 14u 60/90 age group will have a 3 game minimum with half the teams playing 4 or more games and play on High School fields in Akron and Canton as well as the Premier High School Field @ Victory Park. The entry fee for 14u 60x90 covers the umpire fee - teams will supply game balls
The 15u - 18u age groups will have a 4 game minimum with many teams playing 5 or 6 games. Games will begin Friday morning at 10am - teams need to be prepared to play at that time - teams from out of town will be given consideration for later starts on Friday Games will be played in Akron & Canton at the following host facilities - Kent State University, Thurman Munson Stadium, Akron University, Mt Union University, and top High School facilities in the Akron / Canton Area ---- Barberton HS, Walsh Jesuit HS, Firestone HS, Woodridge HS, Jackson HS, and St Thomas Aquinas HS to name a few. We are also planning to play in Cleveland at Hawkin HS, Berea HS, and possibly Tri C or Baldwin Wallace College. The entry fee covers the umpire fees, but teams will provide 1 new and 1 used game ball to start each game.
