Team Sports Tournaments is a Youth Baseball Tournament Host Company located in North East Ohio.  In 2003 Dianthia and Mark Hoisington began hosting baseball tournaments in the Akron area so they could have their sons play competitive baseball events close to home.  From those beginning tournaments in 2003 to now Team Sports has become one of the Top Baseball Tournament Hosts in the State of Ohio as well as the Midwest.  As we begin our 17th year of operation, our mission remains the same as when we started -- Host a Baseball Event that we would want our kids to participate in by providing an enjoyable, but competitive tournament experience for teams of All Competitive Levels -- this includes the Community Team as well as the Major Travel Organization.  When you finish the weekend ( whether you won or lost ) we want you to say our team had a great experience - the tournament was well organized, had timely communication, was played at quality facilities with fair and qualified umpires.  The reputation we at Team Sports Tournaments have gained over the past 16 years has allowed us to attract the top teams in all ages and all divisions from Ohio, the Midwest, East Coast, and Canada - with repeat customers year after year and event after event.  We had over 950 teams attend in 2018. We say Thank You to all of the Teams that have supported our Tournaments in the past, and we look forward to another Great Baseball Season in 2019.

 Team Sports Nations State Qualifier --- May 11-13 , 2018 -- Akron / Barberton

Mothers Day is always an outstanding day and normally brings alot of sunshine -- not so much this weekend as the rain came Saturday afternoon and didnt stop til Sunday afternoon.  This was not a complete wash out as we did get some games played.  With that being said there are a couple age groups where we can actually declare a Champion based on games played and seeding.  There are other age groups where teams did not get at least one game played - in particular 13u -- so it would be hard to decalre a Champion.
So based on games played Saturday and seeding - here are your Champions --

10u - Ohio Bombers Red
11u - Brownlee Lookouts - Mintz
12u - Dover Tornadoes
13u - Cannot declare a Champion - not enough games played
14u - Mashfactory Baseball Club

USA Baseball will be implementing a rule change to the bats. If you are 14 years old or younger and play Little League┬«, Babe Ruth & Cal Ripken, PONY, Dixie or AABC, you will need to use a new bat marked with a new USA Baseball stamp:  We ( Team Sports Tournaments ) will NOT be implementing this rule change to the bats. So if you are 14 years old or younger playing in a tournament hosted by Team Sports Tournaments, you can continue to use the bats marked with the 1.15BPF stamp indefinitely.

All of our Tournaments are stay to play events -- meaning if your team is planning to use local hotels you must book those hotels through our 3rd Party Provider --- TeamINN.  If your team is over 100 miles from your game site it is assumed you will be staying overnight and your team is required to make your reservations through TeamINN.   Your team can book on-line by linking to the Tournament Sponsored Hotels -- see the Book Now Button on the Tournament Page.  You can contact TeamINN at 800-233-8326 or e-mail them at support@myteaminn.com ---

Illegal Bats --- There is an issue with the Demarini Zen -8 and -10 bats --- the original model - CBZ -17 and CBR - 17  have been declared illegal.  Nations Baseball has provided the information below regarding the re tooled bat ....

The retooled bat will be clearly marked.
Complete with a new end cap,
       New approval marking,
MOST IMPORTANT a new model code: CBZR-17 or CBRR-17.

Please keep in mind that as a Tournament Director, Umpire, Site Director, it is not our job to police the bats brought to the plate. If a coach would like to question the validity of a bat during a game, all play on that field will stop until determination has been reached. Protest must be at the time of the play. Either right before or right after. Not 3 batters later or 4 innings later!

AT NO TIME are you to discuss validity of bats after completion of a games. We all know that coaches/parents will approach us after games to file a complaint. Once the game is over, there are no grounds for protest!!
