The 2012 Blue Chip Classic will be co hosted by Team Sports Tournaments and the Ohio Xstreme Baseball Academy in support of the NE Ohio Family Assist Foundation. Part of the proceeds from this tournament will go directly to help a family or families that for whatever reason or circumstance ( sickness, accident, death, unemployment, etc .. ) are in need of financial assistance. The Foundation will choose the worthy recipients who will in turn get 100% of the designated contribution. This year's recepients will be a local NE Ohio family that has a member of the family currently battling cancer. The father is currently fighting Special Sarcoma Cancer. He is currently undegoing chemotherapy and the current prognosis is amputation of his leg below the knee and a 50% chance of extending his life another 5 years. Medical bills and daily finances are a mounting burden and we hope to help with Financial support from this event.

This is a Nations Baseball State Qualifier for ages 8u - 14u and 14u 60/90 and also carries a Cooperstown Bid in the 11u Division to be used in 2013. This event will count toward your 2012 required 2 event minimum if you plan to play in the Nations Baseball State Tournament on June 14 -17.

This Tournament is advised for teams of all competitive levels as teams will be bracketed according to skill level

Most games will be played at Victory Park in North Ridgeville -- a State of the Art 8 field complex in the western suburbs of Cleveland will host all 11u - 14u games. The majority of 8u - 10u games will be played in Akron @ JEDD Park with Semi's and Finals possibly being played at Victory Park. This will depend on the number of teams entered in those age groups. There will be a 3 game minimum. The entry fee covers umpire fees -- ages 8u - 10u will have 1 umpire in pool games and 2 umpires for semi's and finals - all other age groups will have 2 umpires for all games. Teams will provide game balls ( 1 new and 1 used per game ).

Team and Individual awards for 1st and 2nd place.
