| Tournament Description | This event is now in its 11th year and is divided between 9u - 14u age groups and 14u 60/90 - 18u age groups. As with all Team Sports events you will play on Great Fields, the tournament will be well organized with timely communication, and have the top umpires in youth baseball sanctioned and assigned through the Game Hogz Umpiring School. For 9u - 14u -- there will be a 3 game minimum. This Tournament is for teams of all competitive levels as teams will be bracketed according to skill level. Games will be played in Barberton @ the beautiful Foundation Fields Complex as well as Cascade Valley Park in Akron and The First Energy /Patterson Park Baseball Complex in Akron. Umpire Fees are covered in the entry fee. Teams will supply one new and used baseball per game - they will be returned at the end of the game For 14u 60/90 - 18u -- there will be a 3 game minimum. Games will be played at Thurman Munson Stadium and Top High School Fields in the Canton & Akron area --- Stow HS, Walsh Jesuit HS, Barberton HS, Firestone HS, with Jackson HS, and Perry HS a possibility. Games will start on Friday evening as we are aware kids are still school. Arrangements will be made for out of town teams to start on Saturday if they cannot make a Friday evening game The entry fee will cover the umpire fees. Teams will supply game balls ( 1 new and 1 used to start each game ). For all age groups there will be team and individual awards for 1 st and 2nd place. |
