| Tournament Description | The Battle in The ( 330 ) is our most highly attended event of the Summer Season played at Quality Baseball Complexes, Minor League Stadiums, College and High School Fields. This is Tournament's 11th year and we max limit at 100 teams to keep things under control and allow communication and attention to detail so you get what you pay for. We have sold out each of the last 5 years. As with all Team Sports events the tournament will be well organized with timely communication, and have the top umpires in youth baseball sanctioned and assigned through the Game Hogz Umpiring School. This is the place to be on June 7-9. The 8u - 14u age groups will have a 3 game minimum. These games will be played at Kent State's Allerton Complex, JEDD Park in Akron, Cascade Valley Park in Akron, and Barberton's beautiful Foundation Fields. The 14u 60/90 age group will play on High School fields in Akron and Canton. The Allerton, Cascade Valley, and Foundation Field Complexes are lighted and have all complexes have concessions stands and walk in bathrooms In addition to the entry fee teams will pay umpires on the field ( 8u - 10u - $30 per game per team ) ( 11u - 14u ( 54/80 ) - $45 per game per team -- 14u 60/90 - entry fee includes the umpire fees ). Teams will also supply one new and one used baseball per game. The 15u, 16u, and 18u age groups will have a 4 game minimum. Games will begin Friday morning. We understand that kids may still be in school at that time and arrangments will be made to accomodate those teams. We do plan to have a Player Showcase on Thursday evening for all age groups. This Showcase will be a Collegiate / Pro Showcase run by Domination Baseball and will be advertised to college and area scouts. Games will be played in Akron & Canton at the following host facilities - Thurman Munson Stadium Baseball Complex, Kent State University, Walsh College, and top High School facilities in the Akron / Canton Area ---- Stow HS, Barberton HS, Walsh Jesuit HS, Firestone HS, Green HS. The entry fee covers the umpire fees, but teams will provide 1 new and 1 used game ball to start each game. There will be Team and Individual Awards for 1st and 2nd place |
